Recongizion

Employee recognition is one way you can motivate your workers. If they are doing a great job completing a task it is important to let them know that their hard work has been noticed. This way they feel an accomplishment and have the motivation to work harder.

Frequently giving your employees recognition will improve and increase their productivity. If you think about it, it’s fairly simple. You’re doing great work. Your hard work has been recognized and appreciated. You feel great about your work and valued. You’re motivated to work harder.


Human Resource Council says, “Employee recognition lets employees know that their hard work is valued. It doesn't have to cost anything, it can be done in less than five minutes and the results can have a lasting impact” (Hr Council, n.d.). Recognition gives employees the feeling of wanting to put more effort and time into their work because they know it is being noticed, and they are getting rewarded for it.
